Anytime I attend an art exhibition, I feel like a child on a Christmas morning, looking at thousands of boxes waiting for me to be unwrapped. However, instead of the boxes, there are thousands of masterpieces… It’s hard to describe the wide range of emotions I experience; nevertheless I can easily name the feeling after I have this opportunity to admire the art pieces. I feel inspired. I have spent half of my (working) life designing and improving everyday objects… People found them useful and – believe me or not – sometimes even lifesaving! Many people say that the key to the happiness is doing what you love for living… So I’ve decided to merge these two worlds together and I came up with an idea of making wall tiles with artistic, copper art spirit, which are easy to maintain. Having a piece of art in your kitchen (a copper backsplash tile) with no worries that it can easily be damaged while cooking sounds like a negation to the saying that you can’t have it all, doesn’t it?
